Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) has been a leading innovation event for over two decades, recognizing exceptional innovators, researchers, scientists, students, and entrepreneurs worldwide. Their goal is to establish a culture of innovation and excellence in research communities globally through three objectives. Firstly, MTE aims to establish new partnerships and networks for commercialization and product development, enabling innovators to transform their ideas into impactful solutions that benefit society. Secondly, they provide a platform for innovators and researchers to gain recognition for their work across a wide range of fields. Finally, MTE is committed to empowering the next generation of innovators by inspiring young people to develop a passion for STEM fields and equipping them with the skills and knowledge to pursue a career in innovation.
The emergence and spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) have caused unprecedented disruptions across the world, prompting urgent efforts to combat the disease and mitigate its impact. In 2020, MTE launched the COVID-19 International Innovation Awards in a virtual format to recognize startups, researchers, and entrepreneurs who are developing innovative solutions to prevent, treat, or address the effects of COVID-19. By bringing together the scientific, tech, and industry communities, the awards aim to foster networking, idea exchange, collaboration, and global response and recovery efforts.
The era of the post-pandemic continues to have a profound impact on the healthcare industry globally, driving the need for new medical treatments, delivery systems, and technologies. The pandemic has also influenced how consumers view and consume healthcare. Recognizing the crucial role of innovation in advancing healthcare and life sciences, theAdvanced Healthcare and Life Sciences International Innovation Awards & Expo was launched in 2021.
